About The Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Alternative Investments Portfolio Manager to support operating model and platform transformation initiatives within its hedge fund and alternative investments division. The role drives strategic change across multiple workstreams while managing senior-level stakeholder relationships.

The position involves understanding current-state processes and supporting the transition to a strategic target operating platform. The Portfolio Manager coordinates cross-functional teams across business, operations, and technology, manages project activities and dependencies, and communicates findings and recommendations to leadership. Expertise in hedge fund operations, alternative investments, and OTC derivatives—including FX forwards and swaps—will inform transformation strategy and execution.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in hedge fund operations or alternative investments management.
• Demonstrated expertise in OTC derivatives, FX forwards, and swaps trading and operations.
• Proven experience leading operating model transformation or platform transformation initiatives.
• Strong project management capabilities, including managing concurrent workstreams and tracking dependencies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills, including the ability to clearly present complex concepts to senior audiences.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel, including the ability to create polished analytical and presentation materials.
• Strategic mindset and experience bridging business, operations, and technology functions in change management contexts.

Responsibilities

• Support operating model and platform transformation initiatives, assessing current-state processes and driving transition toward the strategic target operating platform.
• Manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders, independently driving project activities and maintaining timelines and dependencies.
• Communicate with and manage senior stakeholders, present updates, facilitate discussions, and bridge gaps between business, operations, and technology teams.
• Use expertise in hedge fund operations, alternative investments, and OTC derivatives, including FX forwards and swaps, to inform transformation strategy.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams using project and stakeholder management skills to support successful initiative execution.
• Develop and present materials using Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel to communicate findings and recommendations to leadership.
• Support strategic change initiatives that align operational capabilities with business objectives.
