Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District has an opening for an alternate on its Hearing Board. The Hearing Board is an independent quasi-judicial body with the authority to provide variances from air district regulations under certain circumstances. Alternate Hearing Board members are appointed to three-year terms. This is a volunteer, non-paid position, but members are eligible for stipends for meetings they attend. Members must complete a Statement of Economic Interest (Form 700) within 30 days of appointment, annually, and within 30 days of resignation. Hearing Board Members must also complete two hours of ethics training every two years, which is provided by the FPPC.
