About The Position

Quantum Research International, Inc. (Quantum) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO)/ Administrative Support to assist our Facility Security Officer (FSO) in running a compliant, well-organized industrial security program. This role involves handling the daily work that keeps classified information, people, and facilities protected, including personnel security processing, physical security, training, and classified material handling. This position is ideal for a security professional who is building toward FSO-level responsibility and desires hands-on exposure to both collateral and SCI programs. The role operates under 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives, and applicable DoD guidance, requiring coordination with government customers, prime contractors, and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance and eligibility for TS/SCI
  • 2–4 years of experience in industrial, personnel, or physical security (military security experience counts)
  • AAS or BS degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent; or relevant experience or certifications in place of a degree
  • Working knowledge of the NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117)
  • Hands-on experience with DISS; familiarity with NISS and SWFT
  • Completion of CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities, or the ability to complete it within [6] months of hire
  • Comfortable presenting security briefings to groups
  • Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle competing deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to enforce policy tactfully
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Able to climb ladders for physical security checks and lift packages as needed

Responsibilities

  • Assist the FSO in maintaining the facility security program and ensuring compliance with government and company requirements.
  • Initiate and maintain clearance records and investigations using DISS, eApp, and SWFT, and track reporting requirements such as SEAD-3 foreign travel and contact reporting.
  • Deliver new-hire security indoctrinations, annual refresher training, courier briefings, special access briefings, and debriefings for departing employees.
  • Support badging, access control, visitor processing, incoming and outgoing visit requests, perimeter checks, and security signage. Serve as an after-hours alarm responder on a rotating basis and assist with the reception area as the main POC.
  • Act as a security container custodian, maintain accountability records, prepare and receive classified shipments, and verify shipping addresses in NISS.
  • Coordinate security requirements with meeting hosts and administrative staff for classified meetings.
  • Assist in reviewing and tracking DD Form 254s for prime contracts and subcontracts.
  • Participate in self-inspections and employee interviews. Conduct initial inquiries into potential security incidents and report findings to the FSO.
  • Maintain security databases and access control systems, such as [Lenel/SIMS/internal system].
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including support for the corporate office and external Quantum Research facilities as business needs change.
