About The Position

As an Alterations Associate, you will perform general alterations and work on a variety of women’s garments, from formal dresses with beading to tailored clothing. The work may range from basic to moderately difficult sewing and alteration procedures. Candidates must be professionally competent in all basic and most advanced alterations. You will contribute to the company’s customer-service reputation by providing a welcoming customer experience and preparing garments to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers sincerely, be friendly, and thank every customer.
• Measure, fit, mark, and pin garments according to customer specifications.
• Disassemble, sew, and/or reassemble garments according to measurements taken during fittings.
• Use an iron and steamer to prepare garments for customers.
• Repair damaged or defective merchandise.
• Maintain a clean department and work area.
