This role supports the ALS Program Manager by providing laboratory instruction and coordinating clinical and field experiences for paramedic and PHRN students. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Emergency Medical Services, or health related field.
  • Specialized Diploma in Paramedic education from a CoAEMPS accredited Program.
  • 5 years EMS ground/critical care experience.
  • 3 years EMS/health care-related teaching experience to providers of all levels.
  • 3 years Simulation health care-related experience.
  • Knowledge of data analysis related to program effectiveness and return on investment.
  • Knowledge of high and low fidelity simulation setup and scenarios.
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program - State of Pennsylvania (Upon Hire)
  • PA EMT-P Paramedic - State of Pennsylvania (Upon Hire)
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania (Upon Hire)
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support - State of Pennsylvania (Upon Hire)
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Instructor - State of Pennsylvania (Upon Hire)

Responsibilities

  • Manages the week-to-week development, oversight, maintenance, and record keeping of all paramedic and PHRN student and lab sessions.
  • Assists with didactic education for the paramedic and PHRN Programs.
  • Organizes dates and time frames of all clinical rotations and field preceptor sites for paramedic and PHRN students.
  • Establishes lab objectives, schedules lab faculty, and prepares necessary equipment.
  • Creates, implements, and maintains paramedic and PHRN student scheduling and record keeping for all lab, hospital, and field clinical experiences.
  • Monitors student evaluations from clinical and precepting sites.
  • Assists the ALS Program Manager in maintaining CoAEMSP accreditation of the Paramedic Program.
