About The Position
Family Farm and Home, a Michigan-based, family-owned and operated company, operates 71 retail locations across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. They specialize in a wide range of products including tools, hardware, automotive, pet supplies, clothing, footwear, farm supplies, feed, bird food, lawn and garden items, and alternative heating solutions. The company is seeking a part-time Alma Service Center Tech Driver. This role primarily involves the delivery and pickup of units requiring repair. The driver will be responsible for transporting units that may not be operational, necessitating the physical ability to push units onto a trailer and secure them properly. The company provides the necessary truck and trailer for this role, with a strict no-smoking policy in the vehicle.
Requirements
- physically able to push units onto a trailer and secure the load properly
- Basic Mechanical Knowledge: A general understanding of these units is helpful to prevent transporting items that do not actually require repair.
- DOT Physical: A DOT physical is required to ensure you are healthy to drive (e.g., checking for conditions that might prevent safe operation).
