About The Position

The Allocation Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining a forward-looking allocation plan for finished cannabis products across provinces and sales channels. This role translates available and upcoming supply into clear deployment recommendations that support revenue goals, customer commitments, and portfolio priorities. The Allocation Planner partners cross-functionally to provide visibility, identify risks and trade-offs, and support timely, data-informed allocation decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in supply planning, allocation, inventory deployment, or similar roles.
  • Proven experience operating in constrained dynamic- supply environments with high SKU and portfolio complexity.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel required.
  • Strong ability to structure ambiguous problems and present clear, decision-ready trade-offs.
  • Comfortable making recommendations with imperfect or evolving information.
  • Advanced Excel and data skills—you work directly in the data to build views, test scenarios, and drive insights.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge assumptions and escalate when needed.
  • Ability to work at a desk in a seated position or standing if necessary, for long periods of time.

  • Experience with Acumatica is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously refine a rolling, forward-looking allocation plan for finished cannabis inventory.
  • Ensure ongoing visibility into how upcoming supply will be deployed across provinces and sales channels.
  • Convert supply pipeline inputs, including harvest forecasts, inbound purchases, and product readiness timelines, into clear provincial and channel-level deployment recommendations.
  • Balance timing, SKU prioritization, and market commitments to support revenue objectives while minimizing risk.
  • Identify, structure, and communicate trade-offs when supply is constrained or misaligned with demand.
  • Clearly outline what will ship, what may be delayed, what is at risk, and where decisions or escalations are required.
  • Provide recommended options and solutions when constraints arise, rather than identifying issues alone.
  • Align available and expected supply with forward demand requirements across provinces and channels.
  • Incorporate listing changes, product launches, discontinuations, and channel dynamics into allocation decisions.
  • Continuously monitor execution against the allocation plan and adjust allocations as conditions change.
  • Proactively identify risks related to supply timing, product readiness, or inventory mix, and escalate early with clear recommendations, such as: Reallocation between provinces or channels, Timing adjustments, SKU or customer prioritization.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Supply Planning, Procurement, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment between available supply, commercial commitments, and customer demand.
  • Act as a point of clarity when competing priorities arise, grounding discussions in data, business priorities, and structured decision-making.
  • Other duties may arise since we work together to ensure we support all business activities – seed to sale.
