Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in inventory management
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and provide actionable feedback. A strong problem-solving skillset
  • Capable of prioritizing workload in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Sense of urgency and excitement to be a part of a high-growth retail environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to learn systems quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee businesses with 500-1,000 SKUs, driving up to $200M annually
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather insights, analyze historical data to accurately forecast demand for various products
  • Utilize inventory management systems and tools to review demand forecasts and manage inventory optimization
  • Review key inventory reporting, highlighting key performance metrics and making data-driven recommendations for inventory improvements
  • Identifying opportunities and risks, recognizing trends by product category and attribute at the individual store and store group level
  • Set appropriate stock levels for each product category at the correct allocatable level to minimize overstock and understock situations to ensure optimal inventory turn.
  • Partner with manager to develop replenishment plans for each product category and SKU, considering lead times, order quantities, and reorder points
  • Analyze actual sales results compared to plan, re-working future flow plans as needed
  • Regularly analyze sales performance to identify slow-moving items to assist making decisions such as discontinuations or clearance
  • Control optimal multi-warehouse inventory levels
  • Generate reporting on inventory performance and work with your manager to recommend strategy adjustments as needed
  • Partner with Data Science team to help transform manual data sets into dynamic Power BI dashboards that fuel analysis and deliberate changes
  • Work cross functionally to develop a story from large data sets to create an action plan accordingly
  • Cross-collaborate closely with (but not limited to) Buying, Planning, Visual Merchandising and Supply Chain to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Communicate inventory positions for designated product categories to your manager
  • Support a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment with a cross-functional team focused on driving sales and optimal store presentation levels
