About The Position

Oregon Allergy Associates is seeking a Part Time Allergy Injection Specialist to join our growing team. We are looking for a confident, patient-focused healthcare professional with injection experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate has experience administering injections, such as a phlebotomist, medical assistant, injection specialist, or similar clinical role. Allergy immunotherapy experience is a plus, but not required. We provide training to the right candidate who is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to safe, compassionate patient care. Responsibilities

• Provide education to patients starting allergy shots or biologic therapies, including treatment expectations, schedules, safety, administration, side effects, and adherence.
• Conduct allergy shot education visits and serve as a clinical resource for immunotherapy and biologic-related questions.
• Coordinate patient treatment schedules, missed appointments, follow-up, and continuity of care.
• Prepare, organize, label, store, and track patient-specific allergy extracts according to provider orders, clinic protocols, and USP 797 standards.
• Monitor extract inventory, expiration dates, documentation, quality checks, and patient-specific requirements.
• Identify and communicate discrepancies, safety concerns, or preparation issues.
• Coordinate ordering, prior authorizations, pharmacy communication, scheduling, and documentation for allergy-related biologic therapies.
• Track medication status and support timely delivery, administration, and continuity of treatment.
• Collaborate with providers, pharmacies, and clinical teams to resolve medication access barriers.
• Recognize and respond to allergic reactions according to established emergency protocols.
• Assist providers and clinical staff during reactions and emergencies and accurately document treatment, patient response, and follow-up.
• Maintain competency in injection administration, reaction management, emergency procedures, immunotherapy safety, and USP 797 requirements.
• Coordinate allergy injection, new-start education, biologic, and immunotherapy follow-up appointments.
• Address scheduling and treatment questions and reinforce adherence to recommended immunotherapy schedules.
• Complete accurate immunotherapy documentation, injection records, medication tracking, patient communications, and treatment updates.
• Manage immunotherapy-related faxes, correspondence, records, and clinical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with providers, clinical teams, pharmacies, and external partners.
• Maintain current knowledge of immunotherapy, biologic therapies, medication safety, USP 797, and regulatory requirements.
• Support team training and competency related to allergy injection workflows and patient safety.
• Promote compliance with clinic policies and identify opportunities to improve workflow, safety, and efficiency.
