About The Position

The Mechanic position is responsible for diagnosing and repairing simple and complex automotive issues, with an EMPHASIS ON ALIGNMENT REPAIRS. Perform routine maintenance tasks for our client’s vehicles, as well as heavy equipment. The successful candidate will use state-of-the-art computer diagnostic equipment to pinpoint issues and develop a cost-effective solution for each customer.

Requirements

• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in the use of common mechanic shop tools
• Knowledge of automotive troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Ability to make decisions regarding the management, maintenance, and repairs of all vehicles.
• Must have own tools
• Be willing to be exposed to dirt, grease, dust, noise and other elements
• Ability to bend, move, lift (up to 80lbs) and physically perform duties in the scope of this position
• Ability to climb equipment steps and ladders
• Stand 8 to 12 hours a day
• Devote drive time as necessary to meet on site requirements
• Minimum of two years’ experience in related field
• Valid and clean driver’s license

Nice To Haves

• ASE Certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to understand their concerns and properly diagnose the issue.
• Produce accurate and itemized work and estimates for customers who request them.
• Spend time explaining the vehicle repair needs to each customer so that they understand what repairs are needed.
• Utilize the latest in diagnostic equipment to accurately pinpoint vehicle issues.
• Conduct vehicle inspections (DOT) in house as well as for customers.
• Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean working area.
