About The Position

I2X Technologies is seeking an Algorithm Software Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Huntsville, AL. This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret clearance. The role involves generating software design artifacts, implementing Java-based software changes, supporting design and code reviews, and assisting with software testing and issue resolution. The engineer will also be involved in presenting developed designs and actively participating in agile planning and execution using established program processes.

Requirements

Generally has 1+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline
Active Secret clearance
Full Life-Cycle Development
Java application development / alternate OO development experience (additional experience with MATLAB is a plus)
Unix/Linux
Software implementation of mathematical algorithms
Agile development
DEVSECOPS
Systems Integration
Basic experience in design and development of complex mathematical algorithms
Experience with problem-solving skills, including the ability to review system behavior issues, identify root cause and recommend a solution
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently
Able to work in a highly dynamic environment
Candidate will need to be able to work with multiple disciplinary teams including Systems Engineering, Integration and Test, Deployment and Warfighter Support to help ensure mission success
US Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of developing software within an agile development process, decomposition of work, and active leadership during sprint planning
Experience developing software and/or algorithms in a structured, process-based integrated team environment
Knowledge of developing software within a DEVSECOPS framework for Java-based applications in a Unix/Linux platform environment
Experience with development of automated unit tests and verification of requirements
Candidate may also be involved in the implementation of MATLAB or Python based algorithms prior to their adoption into tactical Java-based software
Security+ certification is not required but a plus for this position
