About The Position

The Alcohol Compliance Team (ACT) Member serves as a key frontline ambassador for alcohol safety and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for proactively monitoring alcohol service throughout the venue, ensuring adherence to Washington State liquor laws and Levy policies, and helping protect the safety of our guests, team members, and the organization. This position requires strong situational awareness, sound judgment, professionalism, and the confidence to address sensitive situations appropriately.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State MAST Class 12 Permit
  • Knowledge of Washington State alcohol laws and responsible service standards preferred
  • Previous experience in alcohol service, security, compliance, hospitality, or guest services is a plus
  • Ability to identify valid and fraudulent identification
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per event)
  • Ability to navigate stairs, ramps, and large crowds
  • Ability to work in loud, fast-paced, and high-volume environments
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Washington State alcohol laws and responsible service standards preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and continuous monitoring of concession stands, bars, portable locations, and premium spaces
  • Verify required responsible alcohol service signage is properly displayed and visible
  • Ensure alcohol service adheres to Levy policies, including drink limits, portion sizes, and service procedures
  • Confirm alcohol service ends at designated cut-off times
  • Observe guest behavior and identify signs of visible intoxication
  • Ensure alcohol is not served to visibly intoxicated or impaired guests
  • Monitor for and report alcohol service to minors or individuals without valid identification
  • Identify and report “pass-offs,” including situations where alcohol is purchased for underage or intoxicated guests
  • Assist in de-escalating situations by promptly notifying management or security when needed
  • Observe ID checks to ensure proper procedures are followed
  • Verify team members are checking identification thoroughly and consistently
  • Recognize valid and invalid forms of identification
  • Immediately report violations, concerns, or incidents to ACT Supervisors or Management
  • Accurately document incidents and observations as required
  • Provide clear, factual, and timely communication regarding compliance issues
