The AI&T Manager will manage the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) portion of a program, element, or product to meet customer and Company expectations, while also supporting company growth through operational issue identification and resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in program/project management or project engineering for electronic products
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in microelectronics or micro-fabrication
  • Knowledge of clean-room environments
  • Proven experience with negotiations, risk management, contract and subcontract management, financial oversight, and compliance with U.S. ITAR regulations
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in both French and English (bilingual required)

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) portion of a program, element, or product to meet customer and Company expectations.
  • Support company growth by undertaking tasks that may not have a direct bearing on program management, such as interacting with senior and line management on operational issues.
  • Act as an ambassador for their unit, communicating with internal stakeholders to plan and execute manufacturing and production activities.
  • Review requests from program management, product development management, and line management, and organize necessary resources for AI&T.
  • Negotiate and provide feedback to program managers regarding products, resources, funding, or methods.
  • Prepare detailed schedules to monitor daily product progress.
  • Conduct regular assessments of costs to date and estimates to completion.
  • Develop alternative plans to achieve cost and schedule objectives.
  • Escalate key issues and improvement opportunities within their unit and propose solutions.
  • Participate in product and design kick-off meetings to ensure manufacturing line specifications are met and proposed designs are compatible with existing equipment.
  • Act as a consultant, providing technical guidance and direction.
  • Make decisions and take stands based on supporting data in the company’s best interest.
  • Maintain visibility of AI&T at the management level through regular technical, management, and progress review meetings.
  • Define performance metrics and plan the implementation sequence for improvements specific to electronic products.
  • Conduct timely supplier follow-ups and lead the commissioning of new equipment.
  • Participate in equipment selection processes.
  • Bring technical expertise in electronics and production to support projects and ensure operational quality.
