About The Position

Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group, is seeking to hire an HVAC Airside Technician to join our team. The Airside Technician will be responsible for cleaning and servicing air handling units. The selected candidate must have experience with light commercial HVAC systems and/or cleaning air ducts, as well as expertise in AHU refurbishing. Requirements

  • Technical/Trade School with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning related experience; or seven (2) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a good driving record.
  • Must be reliable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including a criminal background check and a drug screen.
  • Basic understanding of duct mechanics and how it affects Indoor Air Quality.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain all duct-cleaning equipment.
  • Access, remove, and clean air distribution components and equipment.
  • Sell ancillary products and services in conjunction with duct cleaning services.
  • Prepare all job-related paperwork promptly.
  • Maintain an organized and well-stocked company vehicle.
  • Complete AHU Refurbishing, which includes (clean and sanitize AHU, filtration upgrades, coating of inside of AHU, and replacement of coils, motors, and bearings if needed); Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
  • Maintain excellent rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, and recommending system improvements.
  • Keep personal equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
  • Document service and cleaning actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
  • Accomplish the Operation's and Organization's mission by completing related results as needed.
