About The Position
As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI , you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- 20+ Years of Age
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
- Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and local authorities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminals, parking areas, perimeter zones, and other assigned areas, noting and reporting unusual activity and/or conditions.
- Perform access control duties such as monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or credentials, and directing authorized personnel and visitors to appropriate areas.
- Complete routine documentation including activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, using required systems and/or forms.
