About The Position

As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Requirements

• 20+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
• Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and local authorities as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminals, parking areas, perimeter zones, and other assigned areas, noting and reporting unusual activity and/or conditions.
• Perform access control duties such as monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or credentials, and directing authorized personnel and visitors to appropriate areas.
• Complete routine documentation including activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, using required systems and/or forms.
