Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 21+ years of age
  • Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
  • Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response protocols appropriate to a government airport location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations and/or local law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout terminals, parking areas, baggage claim areas, and perimeter routes, observing for conditions that may help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entry points and restricted areas by verifying credentials, directing authorized personnel and/or vehicles, and documenting access activity according to post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol activities, and unusual observations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
