Job Description As a Airport Security Officer in Kahului, HI , you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee. Job Schedule: Day Time Fri 07:30 AM - 03:00 PM Sun 07:30 AM - 03:00 PM

Requirements

Valid Driver's License
21+ years of age
Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response protocols appropriate to a government airport location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations and/or local law enforcement as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout terminals, parking areas, baggage claim areas, and perimeter routes, observing for conditions that may help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor entry points and restricted areas by verifying credentials, directing authorized personnel and/or vehicles, and documenting access activity according to post orders.
Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol activities, and unusual observations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
