As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-visibility government location, you will conduct routine patrols and access control checks, stay present throughout key areas to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to reports with clear communication. You will support visitors and staff with customer service while documenting observations and sharing updates with your team. Requirements

Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Conduct regular and random patrols of terminal areas, administrative spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that need attention.
Monitor access points and public areas, verify credentials and/or authorized access as required by post orders, and direct visitors to appropriate resources.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with local authorities and/or airport operations, and documenting actions taken.
Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations; communicate timely updates to supervisors and/or client representatives per site procedures.
