About The Position

Envoy Air is seeking a Part-Time Airport Shuttle Driver to join their team. This role involves providing efficient and friendly service, ensuring passengers, crew, and luggage are transported safely between the terminal and aircraft. The driver will operate shuttle vehicles in various weather and visibility conditions, navigating areas congested with aircraft, moving and stationary vehicles, and equipment. Airport shuttles can have a gross weight of 3,000 to 80,000 lbs. Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18
  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
  • Possess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended state commercial driver’s license (Class A or B with Passenger and Airbrake endorsement required). Some license restrictions may prohibit a candidate from being considered.
  • Active USDOT medical certification.
  • Current Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) medical certificate is required, where applicable.
  • Must be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating days off.
  • Flexible to work additional hours with short notice when operationally necessary.
  • Possess the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to perform all duties under sometimes stressful conditions beyond the employee's control while attempting to influence a favorable impression of American Eagle, American Airlines or any other contracted airline service provided by Envoy.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, report to work regularly and on-time, and be self-motivated.
  • Must be able to successfully clear both a non-DOT/DOT pre-employment drug screening and driving history check in accordance to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

Nice To Haves

  • One year of previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous working experience transporting passengers preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand Spanish (in some locations) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient and friendly service.
  • Ensure passengers, crew, and luggage are transported safely between the terminal and aircraft.
  • Operate shuttle vehicles in various weather and visibility conditions.
  • Navigate areas congested with aircraft, as well as moving and stationary vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
