About The Position

Under general supervision of the Airport Operations and Security Manager, acts as the designated Airport Security Coordinator. This role provides day-to-day management of security related activities, manages the airport badging office, and ensures compliance of the Airport Security Program for the Des Moines Airport Authority. The specialist is responsible for overall management of the badging office, security compliance, Part 77, TSR Parts 1500, 1520, 1540, 1542, 1544, Airport Security Program, Authority Rules and Regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local statutes regulations and requirements. This role also develops, implements, and monitors all security related training programs. The specialist manages the airport identification management system, video surveillance system, access control system, and physical key system. Additionally, this role manages the employee screening program and associated contractors. The position requires operating various computer software applications and performing related work as required. Performs other job related duties as required.

Requirements

Management of the badging office
Security compliance
Knowledge of Part 77, TSR Parts 1500, 1520, 1540, 1542, 1544, Airport Security Program, Authority Rules and Regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local statutes regulations and requirements.
Development, implementation, and monitoring of security related training programs.
Management of airport identification management system, video surveillance system, access control system, and physical key system.
