As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols by bike and vehicle, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for travelers, employees, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
  • 1+ years of Security Experience
  • 21+ years of age
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or government personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, parking areas, access points, perimeter areas, and other assigned facilities to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report access-control concerns or policy violations.
  • Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site requirements.
