Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting information through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, restricted access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry points, assist with access control practices, and verify credentials when required in accordance with site procedures and government location protocols.
  • Communicate with site contacts, first responders, and/or local authorities as needed regarding security-related concerns, suspicious activity, and/or operational issues.
