About The Position

As a Airport Security Officer - Dispatcher in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, it's facilities, travelers, and ensure the safety and security of airport operations. you’ll be the communication hub of our aviation security operations. You’ll coordinate real-time responses, monitor systems, and dispatch officers to where they’re needed most. Position Type: Full Time - Morning Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee. Job Schedule: DayTimeMon05:30 AM - 02:00 PMWed05:30 AM - 02:00 PMThur05:30 AM - 02:00 PMSun05:30 AM - 02:00 PM NOTE: First two months in this position will be working various posts for best geography and familiarization on airport property

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
  • Security Experience: 1+ years
  • 21+ years of age
  • Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
  • Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government aviation location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and directing individuals to appropriate checkpoints and/or contacts.
  • Complete security-related reports such as incident logs, patrol activity documentation, and lost and found entries in accordance with Allied Universal requirements and site procedures.
