Job Description As a Airport Security Officer - Dispatcher in Kahului, HI , you will serve and safeguard the airport, it's facilities, travelers, and ensure the safety and security of airport operations. you’ll be the communication hub of our aviation security operations. You’ll coordinate real-time responses, monitor systems, and dispatch officers to where they’re needed most.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
- Security Experience: 1+ years
- 21+ years of age
- Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
- Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
- Have 1+ years of security experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, and perimeter zones, documenting observations and reporting suspicious activity that may help to deter unauthorized behavior.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with maintaining orderly entry, exits, and queuing.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management, law enforcement, and/or other responders as directed.
- Complete detailed reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate key information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
