Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess and maintain valid US driver's license
  • Pass all pre-employment testing including a drug screen, FBI background, and employment history.
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
  • heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, and frequent kneeling.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms, climb or balance; and talk or hear.
  • Digging and shoveling, such as snow removal around equipment and office.
  • Debris removal which involves lifting, bending and stooping.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Unloading and loading of luggage, freight and cargo on and off commercial aircraft, in the outbound bag room and the baggage claim area.
  • Driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles.
  • Comfortably and continuously lift/move 70lbs of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft
  • Transport (Drive) cargo and baggage between aircraft, airport terminals, and air cargo facilities
  • Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
  • Ensure safe and secure operations, in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security, and all government statutory requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
