Menzies Aviation is a critical partner in the global aviation industry, delivering time-critical logistics services at over 300 locations worldwide. The Ramp Agent is responsible for unloading and loading luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft, working in the outbound bag room and baggage claim area. This role also involves driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles and requires heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, and frequent kneeling.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess and maintain valid US driver's license.
  • Pass all pre-employment testing including a drug screen, FBI background, and employment history.
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, and frequent kneeling.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms, climb or balance; and talk or hear.
  • Digging and shoveling, such as snow removal around equipment and office.
  • Debris removal which involves lifting, bending and stooping.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Unloading and loading of luggage, freight and cargo on and off commercial aircraft, in the outbound bag room and the baggage claim area.
  • Driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles.
  • Comfortably and continuously lift/move 70lbs of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft.
  • Transport (Drive) cargo and baggage between aircraft, airport terminals, and air cargo facilities.
  • Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags.
  • Ensure safe and secure operations, in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security, and all government statutory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
