This position performs intermediate technical work in maintenance and minor construction of the airport grounds, buildings, vehicles and equipment. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Airport Manager.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience in maintenance and repairs or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
  • Knowledge of and experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding and pavement maintenance
  • Ability to learn specialized aviation terminology, procedures, and practices
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments and the public
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Applicable Vocational or Associate’s degree preferred
  • Valid CDL license preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Certified Public Operator license to apply pesticide and herbicides preferred
