About The Position

The Airport Greeter is responsible for greeting Kiawah Island Golf Resort and The Sanctuary Hotel group guests upon their arrival at the Charleston International Airport and local private airports. An Airport Greeter will be welcoming/greeting group guests, confirming drivers/vehicles are present prior to guest arrivals, assisting with luggage handling, and escorting guests to their vehicles in the charter lane outside baggage claim. This is an ON-CALL position, requiring availability on weekdays and weekends.

• Ability to focus attention on details and be able to organize, prioritize, and follow up, if needed.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Greeting Kiawah Island Golf Resort and The Sanctuary Hotel group guests upon their arrival at the Charleston International Airport and local private airports.
• Welcoming/greeting group guests.
• Confirming drivers/vehicles are present prior to guest arrivals.
• Assisting with luggage handling.
• Escorting guests to their vehicles in the charter lane outside baggage claim.
• Communicate proactively, cooperatively, and appropriately with other hotel and resort departments regarding guests’ needs and preferences.
• Maintain discretion and security for the resort and guests.
• Comply with procedures and requirements established in the Transportation Manual.
• Be an ambassador to Kiawah Island Golf Resort at all times, in and outside of the work place.
• Take initiative and work efficiently within any given period of time, unsupervised.
• Go an extra mile.
• Be creative, innovative and strive for continuous improvement.
• All other duties, as assigned.
