About The Position

VMD Corp has an immediate need for a Part-Time Airport Employee Screener with an active NYS Security Guard License. What you will do: Grow in a fulfilling career as an Airport Employee Screener working alongside a team of aviation security professionals. You will use your outstanding customer service and critical-thinking skills while identifying and preventing unsafe objects from exiting the airport.

Requirements

Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
Have an active NYS Security Guard License
Ability to Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check
Ability to interact professionally with the public with a focus on customer service
Excellent observational and problem-solving skills
The ability to communicate interaction with diverse individuals
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle high-stress situations calmly
Attention to detail and commitment to following established security protocols

Proven experience in security, screening, or a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough and efficient screening of airport employees entering restricted areas.
Verify the identity and credentials of employees using established procedures.
Operate screening equipment, such as metal detectors to detect prohibited items.
Enforce security regulations and policies in a professional and courteous manner.
Monitor employee behavior and report any suspicious activities or violations.
Collaborate with airport authorities and law enforcement to address security concerns or incidents.
Provide clear and concise instructions to employees regarding the screening process.
Conduct property searches as part of the overall security strategy.
Respond promptly to alarms or alerts generated by screening equipment.
Maintain accurate records of screening activities and incidents.
