About The Position

The Airframe Structural Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) is responsible for delivering innovative airframe structural solutions that enable next-generation aviation capabilities. This role involves applying deep technical expertise to solve complex aircraft structural challenges and to advance the ADP portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5
  • Experience creating and/or modifying drawings
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • More than 5 years experience in aerospace vehicle development
  • Experience with Fibersim or 3DX composites design workbench
  • Experience with metallic and composite design
  • Experience with 3D model based design definition
  • Experience with determinant structural assembly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
  • A US-DoD classified secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Create and modify primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents.
  • Develop, test, and validate aircraft structural designs to meet performance and safety criteria.
  • Assist in formulating system requirements, conducting trade studies, drafting statements of work, and preparing test plans.
  • Coordinate with internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and interact with external IPTs and suppliers to ensure seamless integration.
