About The Position
This role involves performing unscheduled maintenance on customer aircraft. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, inspecting, and performing maintenance on aircraft. This includes ensuring parts and documentation meet regulatory requirements, assisting in other maintenance disciplines, operating ground support equipment, and returning aircraft to service. The position also involves acting as a shipping and receiving agent for parts and providing time estimates for tasks.
Requirements
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
- General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hangar positions)
- Environmental health / safety policies and procedures
- 5-S activities
- Safe and timely task performance
- Troubleshooting, repair, installation, inspection, and maintenance of customer aircraft
- Documentation per appropriate manuals and regulations
- Inspection of incoming parts and documentation
- Assistance in other maintenance disciplines
- Operation of ground support equipment
- Assistance with mechanical / electrical removals and installations
- Returning aircraft to service at off-site locations
- Acting as shipping and receiving agent for parts
- Providing time estimates
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft
- Perform and document work completed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
- Inspect incoming parts and documentation to meet regulatory requirements
- Assist in other maintenance disciplines – Avionics, Structures, Composites etc.
- Operate ground support equipment as required
- Assist with mechanical / electrical removals and installations
- Return aircraft to service after maintenance at off-site locations
- Act as shipping and receiving agent for parts
- Provide time estimates
- Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hangar positions)
- Comply with environmental health / safety policies and procedures
- Participate in 5-S activities
- Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
