SAIC is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic Worker for an SCA contingent contract located in Lemoore, CA. This effort requires personnel to reclaim F/A-18 aircraft components in support of the SARDIP (Stricken Aircraft Reclamation and Disposal Program), and movement of these items to applicable Naval Supply activities. The role also involves assisting in the disassembly, demilitarization, transportation, and disposal of remaining aircraft structures, as well as assisting in demilitarization and Safe to Display requirements of aircraft designated for public static display. Additionally, the worker will assist in the packaging of reclaimed aircraft components. The position requires a 40-hour workweek at the customer location and willingness to travel to other DoD air stations to perform work (35 percent).
