The Aircraft Worker performs pre/post-operational checks, fueling and operation of aircraft & support equipment, to include conditional/scheduled inspections and periodic maintenance. This role involves aircraft movement, fueling/defueling, securing aircraft and blades, servicing aircraft/engines/transmissions, and directing maintenance turns. The worker will provide aircraft movement/direction and fire guard services during ground and flight operations, and must be familiar with all maintenance instruction manuals. Responsibilities include launching and recovering aircraft, using standard aircraft handling and taxi procedures, and detecting corrosion. The role also entails performing equipment pre-operational checks, maintenance of work center support equipment, operating ground support equipment, checking for fuel contamination, replenishing fluids, and cleaning aircraft exteriors and interiors. Additional duties include maintaining housekeeping of work areas, participating in the FOD program, handling and disposing of hazmat, complying with safety regulations, and obtaining necessary support equipment licenses.
