About The Position

The Aircraft Worker Supervisor provides senior-level oversight of aircraft maintenance operations in direct support of the 89th Airlift Wing’s executive airlift mission.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of applicable aircraft and general flightline operations.
  • A thorough working knowledge of applicable technical publications and ability to accurately interpret technical data are required.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of the SAM mission.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and leadership ability are required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain the clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain a flightline driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Lead Aircraft Worker experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide technical direction to lead aircraft workers and aircraft works responsible for the upkeep, cosmetic appearance (interior and exterior) of Executive Airlift Aircraft.
  • Coordinates cleaning efforts with production supervisor to ensure all mission scheduled aircraft are fully compliant with contractual standards for aircraft appearance and cleanliness.
  • Prioritizes and assigns work based on daily flying schedule and future flying requirements to proactively stay ahead of requirements.
  • Monitor flying schedule to ensure adequate personnel are available to support daily operations.
  • Adjust work schedules or mandate overtime to meet mission requirements.
  • Conduct in progress assessments to ensure personnel are meeting requirements.
  • Evaluate mission aircraft for compliance to contractual standards when technicians are complete.
  • Provide direction when substandard performance is identified.
  • Analyze data on quality assurance assessments and COR surveillance reports to determine adverse trends.
  • Conduct root cause and corrective action analysis to correct trends.
  • Verify effectiveness of corrective actions and adjust as necessary.
  • Ensure personnel practice good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
  • Ensure HAZCOM and HAZMAT pharmacy programs are followed according to the applicable directives.
  • Ensure ground safety measures are observed in servicing and ground handling of all aircraft.
  • Provide continuous on-the-job-training (OJT) of personnel and new employees.
  • Review status of training program to ensure personnel remain qualified.
