About The Position

This position works at a depot-level aircraft repair facility maintaining a range of aircraft, including AV-8, C-130, C-2, E-2, EA-6B, F/A-18, H-1, H-53, H-60, MQ-8, P-3, P-8, F-35, and V-22. Military aviation platform experience is a plus. The employee assists with aircraft system and component maintenance under oversight and performs designated fuel cell maintenance. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of relevant experience.
• Experience in heavy-structure U.S. military or related FAA or civil aviation work.
• Military installation depot-level maintenance experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to pass a NACI, which could include a credit check.
• Must be able to perform the essential duties and physical requirements described in the posting.
• Must complete post-offer, pre-employment substance-abuse testing.

Nice To Haves

• A&P license; not required.
• Experience in the military fixed-wing community or a civilian heavy-structure background.
• Military aviation platform experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with disassembly, repair, rework, and installation of aircraft systems and components, including wings, control surfaces and systems, landing gear, arresting gear, fuel cells, instrumentation, and engines.
• Assist with installation of hydraulic tubing, actuating cylinders, and cable controls.
• Assist with rigging, adjustment, and testing of flight systems, including landing gear, flight controls, instruments, oxygen and environmental systems, and power plants.
• Assist with installation of fuel system components, including self-sealing fuel cells, and with aircraft or aircraft-component preservation and depreservation.
• Take hydraulic or fuel contamination samples.
• Perform corrosion-control treatment, including chemical or mechanical removal of corrosion deposits and Form-in-Place (FIP) seal removal.
• Perform general labor tasks related to aircraft or aircraft systems maintenance.
• Perform fuel cell maintenance as designated.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
