Under minimal supervision, this role involves fabricating and installing upholstery, covering panels, and creating simple patterns for aircraft interiors. The technician will utilize design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications to perform their duties. Key responsibilities include working with various materials such as fabric, vinyl, leather, composites, and adhesives, and operating sewing equipment, hardware, hand tools, and power tools. The role also requires carpet cutting and surging, covering bulkheads, and fabricating and installing various interior components like panels, windows, headliners, and sidewalls. Additionally, the technician will use a material tracking system for parts demand, squawk tracking, and work sign-offs. The position also involves collaborating with lead technicians on process improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles, adhering to safety and housekeeping policies, and using personal protective equipment. The role may require performing other assigned duties.
