Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Be able to understand, read, and write English
  • Basic understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and technical manual
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Ability to work to meet time schedules established

Nice To Haves

  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license or a minimum of 3 years of direct experience working in an aircraft maintenance environment as an Aircraft Technician, with experience conducting annual or progressive inspection operations
  • Experience in conducting pre-flight and post-flight inspections
  • Familiar with the regulations in 14 CFR Parts 21 and 145
  • Sheet metal fabrication and repairs
  • Use of reamers and reaming of close tolerance holes
  • Basic knowledge of multimeters
  • Fastener installations (rivets, hi-loks, huck bolts, close tolerance hardware)
  • Knowledge and experience in the ground operation of jet powered aircraft
  • Aircraft movement and towing
  • Fueling and defueling operations
  • Machine shop tool experience (drill press, band saw, sander, lathe, brake, shear, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire replacements, and filter inspections.
  • Assist in more complex repairs on airframe, engine, and avionics systems.
  • Conduct visual and operational inspections of aircraft to identify wear, damage, or potential issues.
  • Report findings to Quality and Lead/Managers for further action.
  • Accurately record all maintenance activities, parts used, and work performed in the aircraft's maintenance logs and repair station records.
  • Follow all FAA regulations and repair station protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and is completed within the required timeframe.
  • Properly use and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Report any issues with tools or machinery to the Lead Mechanic/Manager.
  • Work alongside other technicians and mechanics to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Immediately report any unsafe conditions to a Manager.
