Under minimal supervision, performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on aircraft systems and structures. This role involves communicating work assignments, performing complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications, and coordinating with various departments to ensure compliance with internal and FAA requirements. The technician will also be responsible for accurate documentation, assisting with shift turnovers, ensuring quality standards, and properly identifying, storing, and securing customer property. Additionally, the role requires operating ground support equipment, coordinating aircraft movement, providing training to less experienced technicians, and protecting customer property. Other duties include proper waste disposal, applying 6S and Lean Initiatives, implementing continuous improvement processes, using and maintaining company tools, complying with safety rules, and utilizing the material tracking system. In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, flight tests may be required. A working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies is necessary. The job requires the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
