About The Position

The Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site (MMS) is seeking an Aircraft Systems Installer to join their production team in Mobile, AL. This role is part of the team that assembles aircraft for the A220 and A320 Family. The facility, opened in 2015, produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period, but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America. This position is responsible for the systems installation of the aircraft for the final assembly line.

Requirements

2 years minimum experience in Aviation Production or equivalent.
Knowledge of System/Mechanical tasks.
Good knowledge and experience in LEAN practices.
High degree of flexibility.
Ability to work under high pressure.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
High School Diploma, GED or an equivalent combination of training/experience.

Nice To Haves

Training from a vocational school or previous employer in the use of application tools and in application techniques.
Completed vocational training (Mechanics/Systems).
5+ years hands-on experience in Aviation Production.

Responsibilities

Prepare mechanical components at the station/work place/aircraft parking space.
Install and manufacture: mark, prepare, assemble, adapt, torque and secure mechanical components and parts.
Inspect bonding as per order/GTI, drawing and specifications.
Check system functions.
Specialized in one of the following areas: VTP and HTP installation, Hydraulic lines installation, Installation in the Area of the Belly fairing and Flap installation, Installation concerning Air conditioning and Fuel system, MLG & Tank Test, Gauging Test.
Other tasks as needed.
