Position Overview Reporting to the Structures Supervisor, our Structures Technicians play a critical role in maintaining, repairing, and fabricating structural components. They ensure all structural work meets regulatory requirements, engineering specifications, and Alpine Aerotech quality standards. Their expertise in corrosion control, metal treatment, and precision fabrication directly contributes to the safety, reliability, and performance of the aircraft we support worldwide. Requirements

  • Graduation from a Transport Canada accredited Aviation Structures program.
  • AME-S Licence or a strong desire to pursue certification.
  • Experience performing structural repairs, sheet metal fabrication, aircraft modifications, or related aviation structures work is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft structures, fabrication techniques, corrosion control processes, and repair methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, repair instructions, and approved data.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Design, lay out, and perform structural repairs in accordance with Structural Repair Manuals (SRMs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Technical Bulletins (TBs), engineering drawings, and approved data.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and fit structural components to precise specifications while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and quality.
  • Perform sheet metal repairs, modifications, and component fabrication on a variety of helicopter platforms.
  • Apply corrosion control, metal treatment, and preservation processes to support aircraft reliability and longevity.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, engineering specifications, and company quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to repair and fabrication activities.
  • Follow safe work practices, regulatory requirements, and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians, inspectors, and leadership to achieve production goals while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and operational performance.
