About The Position

We are seeking an Aircraft Structural Dynamics Engineer to join our team. This role involves performing aeroelasticity and aeroservoelasticity analysis and simulations for aircraft structures. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining finite element models, analyzing dynamic system stability, and supporting ground and flight testing. The position requires strong analytical skills, experience with relevant software, and the ability to document engineering analyses and certification reports. You will also contribute to the development and support of engineering software and analysis methods. The role demands effective collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams and strong communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with Aerospace specialization.
  • Relevant aerospace industry experience.
  • Experience with aeroelasticity and aeroservoelasticity analysis.
  • Experience performing aeroelastic and aeroservoelastic simulations.
  • Experience developing and maintaining finite element models.
  • Experience with finite element analysis.
  • Knowledge of aircraft structures, aerodynamics, control surface actuations, and control laws.
  • Experience with dynamic system stability analysis and frequency response calculations.
  • Experience supporting ground vibration testing (GVT) and flight flutter testing (FFT).
  • Experience documenting engineering analyses and certification reports.
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following: MATLAB, Python, Fortran, C/C++.
  • Knowledge of airworthiness regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and project planning skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and eligible to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods (CGD) clearance OR the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience with Nastran preferred.
