About The Position

This role involves performing work on assigned aircraft, assemblies, and parts in the sheet metal area. The technician will be responsible for reading detailed plans and diagrams, inspecting and measuring parts prior to assembly, and ensuring parts are free of defects and the correct size. The position requires installing sheet metal parts and assemblies in aircraft, ensuring installations do not compromise aircraft structure or systems. Key tasks include fitting and assembling skins, frames, and other components, as well as drilling, fitting, and riveting sub-assemblies like tail booms and stabilizers. The technician will also collaborate with inspectors to conduct tests and verify proper assembly.

Requirements

Minimum of six (6) years related experience.
Some experience may be substituted for education normally acquired in the attainment of an A&P license or a degree directly related to aircraft sheet metal or composite.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams.
Ability to apply standard shop practices in the fabrication and repair modifications of aircraft structures and repairs.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Nice To Haves

Current Airframe or Powerplant license is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities
