This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service position. As an Aircraft Pneudraulic Systems Mechanic, you will perform maintenance and operational and functional checks on assigned pneudraulic systems. You will troubleshoot, remove, inspect, install, repair, modify, rebuild, and/or test pneudraulic systems and components for aircraft pneudraulic systems, associated ground support equipment, and/or related test equipment. This role involves accomplishing periodic and special inspections on hydraulic components, inspecting all components and subsystems for operation, internal, and external leakage and servicing. You will operate portable test stands for checkout of pneudraulic systems, remove, install, and/or repair Pneudraulic components from aircraft and associated aerospace ground equipment. Additionally, you will remove, disassemble, clean, repair, assemble components, and test completed units, and operate test equipment for all hydraulic components. Inspection for cracks, scratches, nicks, and holes on seals, gaskets, packings, and hoses is crucial. You will modify systems and their components, and rig, adjust, and align hydraulic components to ensure maximum operating efficiency. Polishing cylinders and pistons to ensure proper fit is also part of the role. You will investigate pneudraulic failures to determine causes and accomplish corrective maintenance.
