About The Position

The Aircraft Painter coats surfaces of aircraft with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other material, using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other devices. This role involves removing old paint from aircraft using liquid paint remover and scrapers, smoothing surfaces with sandpaper and steel wool, and preparing aluminum surfaces to ensure paint adhesion. The painter will also mask and cover portions of surfaces not to be painted, and apply insignia, letters, or numerals using stencils.

Requirements

Intermediate level (I-Level) repair support for the T56 Power Section Assembly (PSA), T56 Reduction Gear Assembly (RGA), T56 Torquemeter (T/M), T56 Turbine Unit Change Assembly (TUCA) and T-56 Quick Engine Change Assembly (QECA).
Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift schedule if required.
Ability to work flexible work-week schedules i.e. M-F or as required.
Ability to pass a background check.
Ability to obtain favorable National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI).
Ability to climb ladders, raised platforms, and aircraft.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Dexterity to handle small parts.
Must have a Common Access Card (CAC) and be required to pass the equivalent of a trustworthy National Agency Check plus Written Inquiries with Credit Check (NACI), IAW DTM-08-003 “Next Generation Common Access Card (CAC) Implementation Guidance”, or latest guidance, prior to being allowed to work under task order PWS.
Provide appropriate proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
References and any background check being satisfactory to the Company.
Successfully passing a pre-employment drug test.
Ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed.

Nice To Haves

Five or more years’ Aircraft Painting experience on T56-A-425/427/427A Advanced Corrosion Control/Paint and Final Finish
Aviation Paint and Final Finish qualification.

Responsibilities

Coat surfaces of aircraft with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other material, using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other devices.
Remove old paint from aircraft, using liquid paint remover and scraper.
Smooth surface with sandpaper and steel wool.
Roughen aluminum surfaces with acid solution and steel wool to ensure that paint adheres to surface.
Mask and cover portions of surfaces not to be painted.
Paint insignia, letters or numerals on aircraft surface, using stencils.
Provide Intermediate level (I-Level) repair support for the T56 Power Section Assembly (PSA), T56 Reduction Gear Assembly (RGA), T56 Torquemeter (T/M), T56 Turbine Unit Change Assembly (TUCA) and T-56 Quick Engine Change Assembly (QECA).
Perform paint support for repair of T56-A-425/427/427A QECA and Modules Technical Directive compliance and modifications.
Provide paint support for repairing, maintaining, modifying, and overhauling aircraft engines and engine modules not mounted on aircraft.
Ensure Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention.
Use Personal Protective Equipment as appropriate for task(s).
Use HAZMAT as appropriate for task(s).
Perform general housekeeping.
Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
