About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Aircraft Painter to support the Decorative Paint Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on Variable shift. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC). This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. Requirements

  • Availability to work variable shifts, with the understanding that your assigned shift will not be confirmed until after training
  • 1+ years of painting experience in aircraft, automotive, industrial, or general painting
  • Required to wear fall protection gear, safety equipment and masks
  • Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel
  • Ability to carry/lift up to 10-35 pounds.
  • Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals
  • Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ year aircraft painting experience or automotive

Responsibilities

  • Prepares exterior surface of aircraft for painting
  • Makes necessary patterns, performs layout and applies prescribed primers, paints and finishes to exterior of aircraft
  • Applies aircraft finishes and external markings to aircraft sections
