About The Position

L3Harris is actively seeking a successful candidate that will be experienced in performing major and minor scheduled and unscheduled maintenance IAW military T.O.s, commercial maintenance manuals, and service bulletins of aircraft ordnance systems and subsystems. They will also provide technical assistance and guidance during aircrew de-briefs and perform towing, marshalling, and positioning of aircraft on flight line. Perform other related tasks as required in support of engineering, testing, and production for the program. This position requires an active SECRET Security clearance to start. No dual citizenship.

Requirements

  • Having Ordnance experience with: P-8, 737, or other relevant aircraft experience.
  • Being able to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, T.O specs, and engineering specifications.
  • Able to assemble close tolerance parts and use common hand tools.
  • Able to be certified to operate self-propelled vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, aircraft support equipment and towing vehicles.
  • Able to climb, including ladders, stairs, and portable stands and navigate these without assistance.
  • Able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, chemicals, odor, and dust.
  • Willingness and ability to be willing to work any shift, and overtime as needed.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Ability be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant aircraft maintenance experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • No dual citizenship.
  • Minimum 4 years experience with NALCOMIS Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) and Advanced System Management (ASM) systems.
  • Must complete a flight line physical.

Nice To Haves

  • Airframe and Powerplant Certification (A&P license).
  • Working knowledge of Periodic Maintenance Information Cards/Maintenance Requirement Cards.
  • Experience in NOMP/AWCAP, AAS, any other related US Navy Aviation Ordnance programs.
  • APU and/or Ground turn qualified is a plus.
  • Effective communicator and possess strong motivational skills.
  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving capabilities.
