Requirements

  • Mechanic I: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of relevant aircraft structural maintenance experience with fixed/rotary wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft or equivalent. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
  • Mechanic II: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 5+ years of relevant aircraft depot level structural maintenance experience with fixed/rotary wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within depot level maintenance required. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
  • Mechanic III: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 12+ years of relevant aircraft structural maintenance experience with fixed/rotary wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft. 5+ years of depot level structural maintenance experience. Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within depot level maintenance. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, technical documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Good decision analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions.
  • Must be able to communicate issues to management.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs.
  • Knowledgeable of fixed wing aircraft construction features, identification and characteristics of aerospace materials to include proper use, mixing, and storage of acids, solvents, alcohol, caustics, primers, and paints; and proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste and materials.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures of depot fabrication/repair/replacement of metal components, tubing, cable, plastic, fiberglass, bonded honeycomb, and composite structural components.
  • Must be able to utilize respirator, forced air, or other breathing equipment during the performance of assigned duties.
  • Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Will also routinely interact with other crew members.
  • Effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.
  • Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
  • Ability to follow processes.
  • Professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.
  • Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista goals.

  • Multi aspect aviation qualifications / certifications / disciplines highly preferred (Mechanic II)
  • Multi aspect aviation qualifications / certifications / disciplines and ability to train these skills a must (Mechanic III)
  • High degree of self-motivation.
  • Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing aircraft damage and drafting repair procedures for aircraft structural and composite components.
  • Utilizing advanced metalworking practices and techniques to form, cut, bend, and fasten new/repair components to damaged structures.
  • Proficiently performing close tolerance drilling/reaming for installation of high-strength fasteners.
  • Using powered/non-powered metalworking tooling and equipment.
  • Inspecting and assessing damage to aircraft structural components and formulating proper repair/replacement procedures utilizing applicable technical data.
  • Removing and installing close tolerance, high-strength fasteners in major aircraft structural components.
  • Advising on structural repair, modification, and corrosion protection treatment with respect to original strength, weight, and contour to maintain structural integrity.
  • Performing post-repair flight control weight and balance functions as well as control surface rigging per designated technical orders.
  • Inspecting components/repairs for structural serviceability according to specifications and technical publications.
  • Manufacturing/using jigs, fixtures, forms, and molds to fabricate repair or replacement parts.
  • Using advanced metalworking practices, equipment, and tools to form, cut, bend, and fasten replacement or repair parts to damaged structures and components.
  • Using shop drawing and metal layout techniques; shop mathematics; corrosion identification, removal, repair, and prevention; cleaning of metals; application of protective coatings, and markings.
  • Closing completed maintenance discrepancies in automated maintenance systems.
  • Documenting maintenance as per Quality Assurance (QA) and established regulatory requirements.
  • Storing, handling, and disposing of hazardous waste and materials according to environmental standards and company processes.
  • Operating and maintaining related aircraft Support Equipment (SE).
  • Using automated maintenance systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, document maintenance actions, and time change database.
  • Performing regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks.
  • Maintaining strict tool control procedures.
  • Reporting missing, lost, found, or unattended tools to the supervisor.
  • Inventorying and inspecting tools on a regular basis and replacing worn or broken tools.
  • Complying with safety rules and regulations while performing day-to-day maintenance.
  • Promptly reporting all accidents, injuries, safety violations, and/or unsafe practices or procedures to supervisor.
  • Maintaining equipment records.
  • Entering in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verifying the work was performed satisfactorily.
  • Performing other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
