About The Position

Metrea Strategic Mobility (MSM) operates a fleet of Boeing KC-135R aircraft, offering an air-to-air refueling service that seamlessly, safely, and professionally integrates into military aviation training and operations. This position is responsible for performing aircraft maintenance and repairs on the Boeing KC-135 fleet.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years working with heavy commercial aircraft or any military airframe.
  • Experience with towing, jacking, and hazardous material use, storage, and disposal.
  • Must possess A&P, IA, engine run qualified, and an ASTM NCATT Aircraft Electronic Technician Certificate.
  • Proven and demonstrable attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, determining causes of errors and deciding on the course of action to solve.
  • Comprehensive understanding of company philosophy and processes.
  • Must be able to take initiative and work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to read and understand information presented in writing, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite Programs.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must be able to hold and maintain a Secret Clearance Level.

Nice To Haves

  • Minor Fuel system repair, replace seals, in tank fuel probes and fuel system components.
  • Minor Sheet Metal repair, including minor riveting.
  • Aero Repair – Repair, replacement, and rigging of flight control surfaces.
  • Multi Point Refueling System experience.
  • CFM56 2-B / F108 jet engine experience.
  • Avionics – Guidance & Control / Radio Communications experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect mechanical components of the Boeing KC-135 to identify discrepancies.
  • Maintain and repair all systems of the Boeing KC-135, including major/minor aircraft inspections, hydraulics, jet engines, and electrics.
  • Perform daily aircraft inspections, launch/recover, refuel/defuel, debrief aircrew, troubleshoot, and repair discrepancies.
  • Operate ground support equipment (GSE), jack aircraft, and tow aircraft.
  • Follow all safety directives, maintenance procedures, and FAA regulations.
  • Remain current on all required training and certifications.
  • Accurately record aircraft maintenance in the automated maintenance records system.
  • Perform flight-line driving.
  • Undertake all assigned duties.
