About The Position

The Aircraft Mechanic performs, inspects aircraft maintenance, repairs, and alterations in accordance with FAA regulations and Military Technical Orders. This role involves monitoring progress, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met, and troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. The mechanic will provide technical guidance to team members, ensure accurate completion of maintenance records, logbooks, and work orders, and maintain compliance with FAA, company, and safety policies. Coordination with management, QA, and parts departments is essential, as is promoting a safe, organized, and professional work environment. The role also includes assisting in aircraft deliveries to ensure on-time departure and serving as the maintenance point of contact, communicating aircraft status, delays, and needs to Leads and Management.

Requirements

  • Current FAA Airframe & Power plant (A&P) Certification or ability to obtain within 4 months of onboarding
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy aircraft maintenance, preferably with an airline and/or MRO company
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (FARs), AD’s, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Manuals
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical data
  • Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound maintenance decisions
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
  • High School diploma

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with C-130, King Air, Cessna 208, turboprop, jet, GA, Part 145.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) a plus
  • Experience in a fast-paced or maintenance/modification environment
